1. Broadway Market

Broadway Market

Definately one of the best things about Hackney is Broadway Market. Running from Regents Canal up to the corner of London Fields, on Saturday’s there’s no better place to be! A heaven for foodies, people come from all over the world to sample everything from freshly baked pies and pastries to the amazing coffee from Climpson and Sons coffee. Come hungry as there are so many delicious foods to try and buy.

2. London Fields

London fields

A space dating back to the C13th, London Fields is a fantastic park right in the heart of Hackney. It features a cricket pitch, a heated 50m lido and lido cafe, grass areas, designated barbeque area, a small BMX track, tennis courts, a table tennis table, toilet blocks and two children’s play areas.  It’s a great place to be in the afternoons.

3. Palm Vaults

Palm Vaults, Hackney

Escape the hustle and bustle of Hackney by stepping into this Miamiesque den of all things delicious. The pink and rose gold decor is eye waveringly pretty and one picture taken in here will add street cred to even the most unfriendly  Instagram accounts. The list of experimental coffees including rose, red velvet and lavender lattes and loose-leaf tea is almost overwhelming but you can have peace of mind that whatever you order, you are not going to be disappointed.

4. Hackney City Farm

For when you need a bit of city escapism Hackney City Farm is the place to head to. With loads of farm animals to say hello to as well as special weekly events including pottery and mosaic classes, Hackney City Farm is a place you can easily keep coming back to.

5. Moth Club

Once a haven for ex-forces, this old members club has been revamped and given an injection of coolness by the creative team behind the Shackwell Arms. Moth Club combines the traditional social features of a member’s club with a contemporary music playlist. The glittery backdrop behind the stage regularly frames some of the best up-and-coming artists from the UK and further afield, as well as bigger names. They even host the occasional karaoke and bingo night too.
