Once a haven for ex-forces, this old members’ club in central Hackney has been revamped and given an injection of coolness by the creative team behind the Shacklewell Arms. Moth Club combines the traditional social features of a members’ club with a contemporary music playlist. The glittery backdrop behind the stage regularly frames some of the best up-and-coming artists from the UK and further afield, as well as bigger names. They even host the occasional karaoke and bingo night too.

The Nest is a smashing new music and urban-art club in Dalston from a group of nightlife champions including one of the founders of the almighty Fabric. With a firm focus on the best in up-and-coming new music, a cool vibe and cheeky style, the basement-level club is fitted out with a ridiculously good Martin Audio sound system and brings in a constant stream of Next Big Things.

Mangle is a music and events space at the heart of Hackney’s London Fields. They are renowned for finding the most exciting and emerging talent from all over the world and for working with some of the scenes most dynamic agents and promoters.

The Shacklewell Arms
The go-to place for up and coming American bands, buzzing British bands and cool new sounds, the Shacklewell Arms has become a bit of an institution in recent years. It’s split into three different spaces: a classic and cosy British pub, a covered and heated courtyard with a smoking area, and a back room with a stage and dance floor for live music events. With live music throughout the week and DJs pumping out everything from electro to pop at weekends.

Starting out in Shoreditch as pop-up sensation Night Tales, NT’s has found a permanent home in Hackney. On the edge of London Fields, housed in the railway arches NT’s has an impressive view, complete with terrace – the perfect place for watching sundown over the City with a cocktail in hand. Dotted with vintage furniture, candles and frequented by some seriously funky DJ’s, this feels like the best house party in town.

Paper Dress Vintage
We’re still not sure if this is a dress shop or a music venue but Paper Dress Vintage is definitely one of the quirkiest spots in London! Either catch a gig or rifle through the treasure trove of 50’s tea dresses & sparkly shoulder pads..or combine the two for a thoroughly unique experience!
